Wed. Aug. 3, 1831   Edenton Gazette August 3, 1831
   HORRIBLE-- We learn that a man by the name of COMBS, has been committed to 
jail in Windsor, Bertie County, charged with having murdered his wife and 
child, by beating and drowning them. Some of the particulars have come to our 
knowledge, but as this unnatural and unfeeling wretch will shortly ber 
arraigned before the bar of his country to answer to the charge we forbear 
mentioning them.
