Mrs. Martha Winston died suddenly at the home of her son, F.D. Winston, Esq at
Windsor Bertie County, Sunday aged 74 years. Five children, four sons and a
daughter survive her.  They are: P.H. Winston, Seattle Wash, Attorney General of
that State: Geo T. Winston, former president State University now president of
the University of Texas; F.D. Winston of Bertie County; ex Judge Winston, of
Durham, and Mrs. F. S. Spruill of Louisburg.
