ZELMA MINTON BAUGHAM

   SUFFOLK – A funeral service for Zelma Minton Baugham, 76, was held at 3 p.m. 
Tuesday in South Quay Baptist Church by the Revs. Clyde Alderman and Donald 
Trump. Burial was in Southampton Memorial Park, with Wright Funeral Home in 
charge.

   Mrs. Baugham died Sunday in a hospital.

   A native of Bertie County, N.C., she was the wife of Jodie Baugham. She was a 
member of South Quay Baptist Church, its Adults Bible Class and Women’s 
Missionary Union. She was a graduate of East Carolina Teachers College.

   Other survivors include four daughters, Mary Alice Harrell of Raleigh, N.C., 
Margie Bell Cutchins of Smithfield, Daphne Minton Darden of Carrsville, and 
Jonie Rae Baines of Suffolk; a sister, Exie Piercey of Roper, N.C., a brother, 
Leon W. Minton of Como, N.C.; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
