County Mourns the death of T.E. Brown, former County Commissioner
Colerain - Tildon Everett Brown, 82 died September 14 at Sentara Norfolk 
General Hospital.   Brown was a native of Bertie County, a member of Colerain 
Baptist church, farmer and presiden of Brown Peanut Company.  He was also the 
past president of  Colerain Lions Club, was a Bertie County Commissioner for 20 
years and serviced as vice chairman for 14 years.  Brown was chairman of 
Bertie-Martin Regional Jail Committee and a member of the Board of Director 
of Centura Bank in Colerain
