AULANDER – Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. today from the Pleasant 
Grove Baptist Church for Luther B. Knight, 78, who died Thursday night. 
Officating was the Rev. Harold Rumfelt, pastor. Burial was in Aulander Cemetery.
  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Susie Baugham Knight; one son, Lacy W. Knight of 
Aulander; three daughters, Miss Billie Sue and Miss Mabel L. Knight, both of the 
home, Mrs. David L. Johnson of Capron, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Nealie Harris of 
Murfreesboro; two brothers, Sam Knight of Roanoke Rapids and Richard Knight of 
Norfolk, Va., and two grandchildren.

AULANDER – Luther B. Knight, 78, died Thursday night. He is survived by his 
wife, Mrs. Susie Baugham Knight; one son, Lacy W. Knight of Aulander; three 
daughters, Miss Billie Sue and Miss Mabel L. Knight, both of the home, Mrs. 
David L. John of Capron, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Nealie Harris of Murfreesboro; 
two brothers, Sam Knight of Roanoke Rapids and Richard Knight of Norfolk, Va., 
and two grandchildren. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 
where funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. 
Harold Rumfelt, pastor. Burial will be in Aulander Cemetery.
