Jan. 31, 1845     Charlotte Journal
   DIED, in Alabama, on the 25th of December last, after a painful illness of 
nearly six months, WILLIAM S. MHOON, ESQ., formerly Public Treasurer of this 
State. The deceased was a native of Bertie County, N. C. and frequently 
represented that County in the Legislature. He has left a wife and four 
children to bemoan his loss.
