our beloved wife,mother,daugther,sister and aunt departed this life at 
Albemarle Hospital,Elizabeth city,North Carolina on saturday,November5,1988 at 
3:00Am Nettie was born in Bertha,north carolina on July 11,1926.she was the 
daugther of Daisy White Lindsey and the late John Lindsey,sr she attended 
coinjock school and Snowden High school,later named currituck Training 
school.On December 17,1960,she was joined in Holy Matrimony to Andrew 
Jackson.At an early age,Nettie joined the Macedonia church of Chirst.Other than 
her husband and mother,she leaves in deep sorrow two daugthers,Joyce Walker of 
Poplar Branch,nc;and Gwendolyn Jackson of Moyock,nc;one son Elvin Leon 
Lindsey;5 sisters,Mrs,Lenora Banks,Mrs,Mattie Woodley and Romona Lindsey all of 
poplar Branch,nc;Mrs.Daisy Seymore of Water Mill,Long Island NY and Mrs.Mavis 
LeRocque of Barco,nc six brothers,John Lindsey Jr.,Jerome Lindsey,Donald Ray 
Lindsey and Arthur E Lindsey all of Poplar Branch,nc;Randolph Lindsey of 
Elizabeth city,nc;and Joe Willie Lindsey of Wilmington,Del;one daugther-in-
law,Lilly Lindsey and one son-in-law,Andrew Walker;two grandchildren,Christina 
and Lindsey Jackson;four brothers-in-law,Arthur Seymore;William Banks,John 
LeRocque and Billy Jackson;eight sisters-in-law,Mary Webster,Delores 
Lindsey,Jean Lindsey,Lois Lindsey,Catherine Lindsey,Phyllis Lindsey,Mary Lee 
Jackson,Francella Henry;two great aunts,Annie White and Mattie Jones;two great 
uncles,Hilton Overton and Nixon Overton and a host of nieces,nephews,other 
relatives and friends.
