PEARSALL SUCCUMBS IN NORFOLK, VA. Funeral Services Will be Conducted from Home of F. S. Duffy Friday Funeral Services for Mrs. P. M. Pearsall, 75, who died in a Norfolk hospital yesterday morning will be held from the home of F. S. Duffy on East Front street, at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Mrs. Pearsall underwent a major operation Saturday. She had been in failing health for some time. The remains, accompanied by a brother and a niece, will arrive here at 3:50 o'clock this afternoon from Norfolk and will be taken to the Duffy home. At the services tomorrow, Dr. B. F. Huske, rector of St. Mary's Episcopal church in Kinston, assisted by Rev. C. E. Williams of this city, will officiate, and burial will be held in Cedar Grove cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: J. S. Claypool, George S. Attmore, J. Guion Dunn, P. O. Jarvis, Bryan Duffy and Thomas O. Moore. Hononary pallbearers will be: E. K. Bishop, T. D. Warren, L. I. Moore, F. S. Duffy, J. T. Hollister, R. A. Nunn, Dr. N. M. Gibbs, and J. H. Parker. Mrs. Pearsall was a native of Bertie county. Her first husband Walter Burrus of this city and her second the late Colonel Pearsall. She is survived by: one sister, Mrs. M. M. Eason, of Lewiston, N. C.; a brother, Dr. A. Capehart, of Roxobel; four step-daughters; Mrs. H. C. Lumsden, of the city, Mrs. Ralph Gray, of Washington, Mrs. Tom Burrus, of Fairfield, and Miss Jennie Burrus, of Sarasota, Fla. Capehart and Eliza Mason of Roxobel, Bertie Co, NC. Her brother, Dr. Alanson Capehart; her sister, Minnie Capehart Eason and her parents are buried in St. Mark's Episcopal Cemetery, Roxobel, Bertie County, NC. Her first husband was Walter P. Burrus who died in New Bern in 1912. Her last husband was P. M. Pearsall, a native of Sampson County, NC who died in New Bern on 20 Feb 1923. Patrick Murphy (P.M.) Pearsall was the son of Joseph Dickson Pearsall and Mary Bailey Murphy of Duplin and Sampson counties.
