The Edenton Gazette   Jan. 26, 1827
   DIED, in Bertie County, on the 10th inst., WILLIAM S. RHODES, ESQ., a 
highly respectable magistrate and farmer of that County, after an illness of 
42 days. He was called hence leaving a widow and three small children and 
numerous friends to mourn their loss.
