SAMUEL CARR TURNER

   SEDLEY – Samuel C. Turner, 59, died Friday afternoon in Raiford Memorial 
Hospital after a long illness.

   A lifelong resident of Sedley, he was a member of Grace Memorial Methodist 
Church. At the time of his death he was employed by the City of Franklin.

   He was the husband of Mrs. Helen Blythe Turner and the son of James 
Washington and Mrs. Sarah Scott Turner.

   Besides his wife, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Hattie Turner Dulls, and a 
nephews, R.D. Dulls, Jr., both of Sedley.

   A funeral service was conducted Sunday at 4:30 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland & Sons 
Funeral Home by Rev. J.H. Moreland of Grace Memorial Methodist Church. Burial 
was in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley.

   Active pallbearers were Harold S. Atkinson, Norman G. Lankford, Martin 
Shackley, Vergil Derby, George King, William Jones, Joseph Griffin and Julian 
Whitley.
