Vick, died suddenly of a cerebral hemorrhage early Tuesday morning, September 12, at her home in Kelford, N.C. The daughter of the late William and Virginia Anne Smith of Roxobel, N.C., Mrs. Vick was a member of Kelford Baptist Church and of the Woman’s Missionary Society, and taught in the Sunday school for nearly 30 years. Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ezra F. Gray of Franklin; five sons, Bingham of Charlotte, N.C., Harry of Newport, Ky., and Dewey, Benjamin and Woodrow of Kelford; five brothers, Alvah and Ben Smith of Roxobel, N.C., Harvey of Los Angeles, Calif., Junius of Philadelphia, Pa., and James of Milwaukee, N.C.; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Kelford Baptist Church, at 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. E.C. Upchurch officiating. Burial was in the Roxobel-Kelford Cemetery, the active pallbearers being the five sons and a brother of the deceased.
