The company’s line intersected with the Cashie and Chowan Railroad near Merry Hill, likely the point of contention raised in the March 1895 civil suit between Greenleaf Johnson’s Cashie and Chowan Railroad and Lumber Company and the Wellington and Powellsville Railroad Company.
