Ann BOULTON to Henry HOOTEN, land in Coldreign, Bertie Co., NC

This Indenture made this 29th day of March one thousand seven hundred and Ninety 
nine between Ann BOULTON nd Henry HOOTEN both of the County and State aforesaid. 
Witnesseth that the said Ann BOULTON for and in consideration of the sum of one 
pound ten Shillings to her in hand paid by the said Henry HOOTEN the receipt 
whereof the said Ann BOULTEN doth hereby acknowledge she the said Ann BOULTON 
hath grad bargained and sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth 
grant bargain sell alien confirm unto the said Henry HOOTEN his heirs & assigns 
forever all right title interest claim and demand that she the said Ann BOULTON 
hath to ro in a certain lot lying and being in Bertie County on Chowan River in 
the new town called Coldreign which right descended to me the sd. Ann BOULTON by 
the death of my father which right I now sell confirm and convey unto the said 
Henry HOOTEN and also all lands trees woods underwood commons & common of 
pasture profit commodities advantages hereditaments ways waters and 
appurtenances whatsoever unto the same Lot above mentioned belonging or in any 
wise appertaining all the estate right title interest claim & demand and 
whatsoever of the said Ann BOULTON of in and too the said mesague tenement & 
premises and every part thereof. To Have & to hold the said Lot and every part & 
parcel thereof with the appurtenances unto the said Henry HOOTEN his heirs & 
assigns forever. And the said Ann BOULTON for her & her heirs the said Lot & 
premises and every part and parcel thereof against her and her heirs and all and 
every other person whatsoever to the said Henry HOOTEN his heirs & assigns shall 
& will warrant & forever defend. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand 
& seal this day and year first above written.
