The class of 1929 held a reunion at Norfolk, Va.
The seven (7) members of the Republican High School Class of 1929 were: Dalmus 
Darden Bazemore, Forest Broughton Craig, Georgie Burden Alston Brickman, Jiles 
Horton White, Pauline Alston Williford, Gertrude Pierce Hughes and Belva Barber 
Folks.

 

The principal was Herbert D Lassiter of Woodland and the History teacher was 
Miss Vashti Hoggard of near Republican.
Windsor -- The Class of 1929 of Republican High School,
Route 1, Windsor, recently held a reunion, celebrating
almost 49 years out of school.

Members of the class have kept in close touch since their
graduation. This was their third reunion and it was held
with Horton White at his home in Norfolk. He is suffering
with cancer and wanted to see all of his classmates who
have always seemd more like brothers and sisters.

Class members attending were Dalmus Darden Bazemore of
Windsor, Forrest Broughton Craig of Flushing, N.Y.;
Georgie Burden Alston Brickman of Baltimore, MD; Jiles
Horton White of Norfolk; Pauline Alston Williford of
Roxobel.

Two members of the calss who have died were Gertrude
Pierce Hughes of Hampton and Belva Barber Folks of
Florida.

Herbert D. Lassiter of Woodland was principal and Miss
Vashti Hoggard of near Republican is remembered as an
outstanding history teacher.
