North Carolina

In the name of God, Amen.  I Abn [lined out]   This Second day of February 1762
I Abn-er Andrews of the County of Bertie in the province of North Carolina being
very sick but of perfect mind and memory Thanks Be to God for the Same and
Calling to Mind the Mortality of my Body and knowing that is is appointed for
all men once to dye, I do rec-ommend by Should into the hands of God that gave
it unto of such of my worldly estate wherewith it has been pleased God to bless
me with in this life I do give ___ and dis-pose of in the following manner. That
is to say first of all

Item  
I give and Bequeath to my Son John Andrews and his heirs for ever one feather
Bed and furniture

Item    I also give to my daughter Margarett Andrews and her heirs forever
twenty five pounds proclamation money and on feather Bed and furniture to be
paid to her at the age of sixteen —

Item    I also give to my Son Stephen Andrews and his heirs for ever twenty five
pounds proclamation money one Bed and furniture and my Black walnut desk

Item    I also lend to my loving wife my negro Jenny to [“my wife” — lined out]
her during her natural life and after her death she and her provenance be
equally divided between my three children —

I also give to my loving wife the Remainder part of my estate Reserve [??} what
is al-ready given.

I also do appoint [“or” line out] and ordain Jesse Andrews and Arthur Brown Sole
execu-tors of thismy Last will and Testament revoking and dissannulling all
other wills or Tes-taments ever made by me.

As witness my hand and fix my seal this [“this’ lined out] the day and year
above written.ABNER ANDREWS
