To the Worshipfull Court of Bartie, Humbly shewith
Katherine ELLIS that your humble____is _____  __lp
(enept?) of the last will and testament of William
BRYAN dec'd and has since been married to Aaron
ELLIS who is also dec'd, and it is thus (as to the
Estate of William BRYAN dec'd he had four sons, who
(the) tho? some of them has rec'd part of what
accrewed to them from their dec'd father's Estate
yet these remains balances due to some of them.

And he had also two daughters (the Estate by
Indolence and neglect of my sake? self? sale? (can't
make it out) or lost ? last? husband has been
unsettle ___and _____and myselfe being but a weake
woman in affairs of this kind humbly prays your
worships will order or appoint some proper persons
to State? And it and ____the same.

To the intent I may be enabled to make a just and
true inventory of my last deceased husbands estate
when my former husbands is settle and the debts paid
off.
