BERTIE COUNTY WILL - Filgo, David -1794 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by twhite@simflex.com Book T page 341 Bertie County, North Carolina 1794 Filgo, Todd, & Laughton to Each Other Know all men by these presents, that we William Filgo, Moses Todd & James Laughton of the State of North Carolina and the County of Bertie have by an agreement between us divided the estate of David Filgo decd of Wake County & State aforesaid. - Whereas the said David Filgo deceased did make and orderith a Will and Testament being duly assigned & declared leaving the said William Filgo Executor without proving of the will we have Divided his property according to the will of the said David Filgo deceased,- Know ye that we the said William Filgo, Moses Todd, & James Laton, doth agree to & with each other, that if either of us, our Heirs Executors Administrators or assigns shall hereafter, After try or attempt to alter the divisions which hath here to fore been made of the estate of the said David Filgo, to pay unto the others of us the just & full sum of Two Thousand pounds Lawful money of this State to be due against Either of us, our heirs Executors or Administrators which shall make such attempt, We the said William Filgo, Moses Todd & James Laton. Doth bind ourselves, our Executors, Administrators & assigns, to each other to abide by such division above mentioned in the above penalty, In Witness whereof, we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals this second day of December and in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety four.________ Signed Sealed and Delivered William Filgo In the Presence of Moses Todd William White R.
