I William Conner of Bertie County in the State of North Carolina, being in perfect sence and memory and knowing it is apointed that all men once to die do made and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say. And first of all I gave my soul to God who give it me and for my body I leave it to be buried in a decent manner. ITEM: I gave and bequeath unto my son WRIGHT CONNER all the land and plantation from the John Flowers line in the glade all the land on the south side of the wash in the East end and down the said wash Westward to a great pine thence strate to my line in Powells branch then up powells branch (beach?) to a naked oak, a cestnut tree thence east along line of marked trees to a read oak John Flowers Corner northeast to the first station to him and his ares also I gave him half my black smith tools if I don't part with them and one --ter and Croo- the land is builted and ------ ( or is it titled and ?????) at 80 akers more or less to him and his ares. ITEM: I gave and bequeath unto my son WILLIAM CONNER my plantation whereon I lave and all the land on the North side of the wash it being one 125 akers be the same more or less to him and his ares I gave him the other half of my black smith tools and one feather bed and furniture and five cider barrels and case and bottles and shucto and great bible one hoe and plow iron wedges (or hedges)fine grindstone, one great iron pot and lid one little skillet, one little puter bason two plates, two chairs one glass one adds (probably adz) and half my carpenders tools and one stock of bees, two axes country made and my cross cut saw to William and Wright Conner. ITEM: I gave and unto my son Thomas Conner one cow already had in his leave and my great gun, one x one little hoe one shot one case bottle and one pint bottle and hand saw and blue cote and great cote one stock of bees and barrel and case and equal share of my ----- clothes the old hand saw and (then there are words that are crossed out) ITEM: I gave and bequeath unto my daughter Chloe (Wright?) one little glass and ten shillings and one stock of bees ITEM: I gave and bequeath unto my daughter Ann Conner five shillings ITEM: I gave and bequeath unto my granson and his sister Nance Conner five shillings to Jack Conner ITEM: I gave and bequeath unto my daughter Martha Conner one feather bed and furniture two small spinning wheels one Chest one puter bason two plats two spoons two chair (?) the new wash tub new pails two pigings and one set coffee cups and dishes and my young horse brid and one stock of bees beside her own one case bottles and half the loom and great coffee stand and spice mill and my saddle and bridles and two haccles and great punch bowl and great skilled one iron pot and pot lid and box iron and two cows and calves beside her owen her Ch___ one desk if I don't part with them before I die, If I don't part with them one dome fring pan and three white plates. ITEM: I gave and bequeath unto my daughter Lavine Conner one feather bed and furniture one blue Chest and one cow and calf one hunting saddle and bridle all the rest of my tea ware one stock of bees smoo tumbled finish cup and case bottle also I gave her one puter bason two spoons, two plates two chairs little punch bowl and oak cage and other half of my loom and gone great cotton wheel and cotton cards and one little iron pot and safe and half pint bottle my gees and fowl to my two daughters Martha and Lavine and my cotton and flax and two thirds of my corn and fodder between them. Also I gave to Lavine my great puter dish, one ax one hoe my nives and forks to my two Martha and Lavine and one spinning wheel. What I have not giving away all ready I lave to be divided between my son Thomas Conner and my daughter Martha Conner and Lavine Conner and my Son William equal sell nothing but divide it yourselves is my will.
