Bertie County North Carolina Will Hoggard, Alonzo-1871 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Robbie Burnett rburnett@hughes.net ========================= Alonzo Hoggard Will State of North Carolina Windsor, July 8, 1871 Bertie County Amen, I Alonzo Hoggard being of sound mind and finding that my stay on earth is short do make this my last will and testament. 1st I lend to my mother Violet during her life the big room in south end of Bryant _____ house. 2nd I lend to my Brother Stephen the small room in same end of the house with yard of fifty feet at end & running to the river, & at their death I give the same to my children. 3rd I loan to my wife Silva during her life the lot on which I live together with all the personal property I possess & at her death I give the same to my children, Alonzo, (illegible name) After my death I will my body decently buried & my debts paid. Lastly I appoint my wife sole manager and executor to carry out my wishes. Signed sealed in presence of Jno P Rasen his Jos B.
