HARDY, JAMES B. LEE, WM. S. BROWN, ABSALOM ROGERS AND THOMAS J. PUGH be appointed commissioners to lay off and allot to the petitioners ONE THIRD PART OF THE LAND of the Testator including the dwelling house by visible metes and bounds and report this proceedings to the next term of this court, all of which is ordered and d__ according by John T. Taylor, Clk. Agreeable to the annexed order we the commissioners have this day met and after being sworn as the law requires have proceeded to lay off and allot to Mrs. RACHEL RUFFIN one third part of the lands of John Ruffin Dec'd. And we do by law apart lay off and allot to her the land and plantation (only) upon which she resides, bounded on the north by CASHIE SWAMP and on the south by ROCQUIST POCOSIN, adjoining the lands: A.M. CRAIG WASHINGTON GRIFFIN, WHITMELL HODGE'S lines JESSE A. POWELL KADER BIGGS, RICARD J. VEAL, WILLIE SMITH, HH HARDY THOMAS B HARDYand other supposed to contain about 2,000 acres all of which is respectfully submitted. Given under our hand and seals the 22nd day of Feb AD 1845.
