Here is one I didn't expect, does anyone know the relationship of Jesse COTTEN to any mentioned on the Estate?   Cathy

From various records I have a hint that this
Catherine was the Caty BRYAN mentioned at an estate
sale, also Jacob KENNEHORN was on the same list.
Then Jacob died, she then married James HAYES...I
think the Caty was daughter of Jesse BRYAN and
Elizabeth CHURCHWELL/HARRELL/SPIVEY/BRYAN...and I
also think she may be on the Bastardy Bonds with
William HODGES as father of the child... this is
just for research purposes...cathy

We the Subscribers Jurors being summoned and
qualified to lay off to Catherin HAYES her dower in
the lands of her dec’d husband Jacob KENEHORN
agreeable to the anexed? order of court do lay of to
her as followith beginning on a branch running along
Will. SEAYS lines to the road then up the road to a
pine standing on the NS of a small branch then down
the branch to another branch then up that branch to
the first station  containing twenty one acres and a
third-


One other tract containing twelve acres an da half
in the lands that formerly belonged to Edward TOOL
beginning at the road then along Edward ACRES line
N85E22 poles to a pine the corner of TOOLS patten
then along sd patten lines S25 E102 pole t a white
oak then S14 E to the road then up the various
courses of the road to the first station.

Jacob KENEHORN heirs and find the sum of Eleven
pound one Shilling Six pence due from the Guardian
to the heirs  August 12 1805

Ordered that Kenneth CLARK, William THOMPSON,
William W. JOHNSTON and Peterson BROWN or any three
of them be appointed to audit and accounts of Jessee
COTTEN dec’d as Guardian of Jacob KENEHORS heirs and
