I William Marshall of Bertie Precinct being sick and weak of body but of sound mind, thanks be to God for it, do make and ordain this to be my Last Will and testament in Manner and Form following. Imprimis: I will that my debts and funeral charges shall be paid and discharged. 2ndly: I leave and lend in using possession during her natural life all my personal Estate to my Loving Wife Margaret and after her decease, My Will is that the then remaining thereof be divided in following Viz. 3rdly: I give to Her Granddaughter, Margaret ROBERTS, one bed and bowlster, one blanket, one pair of sheets, one blew rugg, two cows and calves and my spinning wheels and my brass kettle and midlin pot and my great trunk. 4thly: I give to her Grandson, John Roberts, a silver spoon, a gold ring, a pair silver shoe buckles and a small bible, two cows and calves and my cross cut saw and my little kettle. 5thly: I give to her Grand Daughter SARAH PEEKE, my chest of drawers, my safe and case and four chairs, a silver spoon and two cows and calves. 6thly: I give to her Grand Son James Barrot PEEKE, a gold ring, two cows and calves and my great pot and frying pan and hackle and a little trunk. 7thly: I give to MARY KEEFE, Daughter OF John KEEFE, a cow calf. 8thly: I give to my son in law, William PEEKE, my fine blew Coat and my bread moulds tins and implements scales and table and my great Bible. 9thly: I give to JOHN KEEFE, my duffill coat and ten pounds bills 10thly: All ye remaining estate after my said wifes decease and ye said legacys paid I WILL that be equally divided between the said John ROBERTS, MARGARET ROBERTS, SARAH PEEKE and JAMES BARROT PEEKE. 11thly: I appoint my said loving wife whole Exctx. of this my last will hereby declaring all my former wills Void. 12thly: I appoint the said William Peeke and John Keefe Guardians to the aforesaid Legatees Estates. In Witness whereof I the Said WILLIAM MARSHALL have hereunto set my hand and seal this 4th day of Sept.
