BERTIE COUNTY WILL - Mizell, William-1793 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Jim Turner Following is will of William Mizell, prob. son of Aaron Mizell (will 1809), father of Jeremiah Mizell (will of 1816). ============================================================================ WILLIAM MIZELL WILL - 1793 - Bertie County NC - Book D, page 224-5 Will of William Mizell Aug 1793 - identical but separately handwritten copies in Raleigh and Bertie County Page 224 In the name of God amen March 21st 1793 I William Mizels of Bertie County being weak of body but of perfect and sound mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament. In the first place I lend unto Mary my beloved wife during her widowhood all my estate together with my land and plantation. She to raise and school the children and if in case my said wife should marry again my will and desire is that my estate be equally divided between my wife and children except my land. Secondly I give and bequeath unto my son Jeremiah Mizell my land and plantation after his mothers widowhood. Thirdly I give and bequeath unto my eight children Sarah Mizel, Aaron Mizell, William Mizell, Nancy Mizell, Jeremiah Mizell, Clary Mizell, Susannah Mizell and Mary Mizell all my whole estate except the land above given to be equally divided among them after their mothers decease or widdowhood ~~ also my desire is that no part of my s'd estate be sold except for necessary occasions ~~ Lastly, I likewise constitute and appoint my loving wife Mary Mizels and my brother John Mizell and Herbert Pritchard my sole Executors and Executrix of this my last Will and Testament.
