On center of fold on copy in NC Archives - "46 Jeremiah Mezill's Will Recorded in Book F page 328 S Cherry Clk" (Misspellings included but paragraphs added for ease of reading.) ----------------------------------------------- In the Name of God amen I Jeremiah Mezells of Bertie County and State of North Carolina Being Sick and weak In Body but of a Sound and Disposing mind and memry thanks be unto the allmighty God for the same but calling to mind the mortality of man and considering that all men hath to Dye Doth make and ordain this my last will and testament in maner and form foling. Viz first and princiably I rec'mend my Sole unto the hands of allmighty God who gave it me hoping and Trusting that through the merrits of a Crucified Savour that I shall In hereth everlasting Salvation, Secondly I Desire That all my just debts and funeral Charges __?__ fully paid. by the hands of my Executors herafter named; Thirdly I gave and Bequeth unto my Bloving Wife Two Feather Bedes and furniture and allso I give unto her one Lining Whele and wooling whele one table and one Chest and three siting chers one Beau__at and all the furniture there unto Blonging one pare of Cardes? One swine and ger? and two sowes and twelve pigs Forthly I give and Bequeth unto Hardy Miller Son of Rubing _ Miller one third of my land allso Jeremiah Mezells son of Wm Mezells my Brother one third and unto William Mizells Son of Aaron Mizells one third.
