The handwriting was hard to make out what some of the letters were. Other than this it has been copied as written. Elizabeth Schoeb In the name of God amen. I William Morris Senior of the state of North Carolina in the County of Bertie being of a low state of health, but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to Almighty God. Therefore calling to mind the mortalidy of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament. That is to say s??nusally (hard to read) and first of all I give and recommend my said into the hand of the Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian bureal at the descretion of my Execetors, doubting but at the General Resurrection I shall receive the same again buy the Mighty Powers of God, and as touching as such worthy state whereof it hath pleased God to bles me in this life I give and dispose of the same in the following manner and form, Item, I give unto my son Abraham Morris five shillings. Item, I give unto my son John Morris five shillings. Item, I give unto my son William Morris five shillings. Item, I give unto my daughter Winny M?ss five shillings. Item, I give unto my daughter Milly Best five shillings. Item, I give unto my daughter Elizabeth Best five shillings. Item, I give unto my Moses Morris five shillings. Item, I give unto my son Matthew Morris five shillings. Item, I give unto my son Jacob Morris five shillings. Item, I give unto my loving wife ?Turanna (Susanna) Morris five shillings. Item, I lend unto Anne Farmer whose maiden name was Anne Harman one feather bed and furniture, her choice, one cow and calf, five hogs, her choice one pot six plates, six spons and fifty acers of land together with all my Household goods and furneture and property of every kind after the payment of my debtes and the afor mentioned liqours to be enjoyed by her during her natural life or living without a man and after her deceased or joining herself to a man or taking any man in connection so that said property is like to be Exacuted, then I give and bequeath the said lent land and property of every kind to be equally devided amongst my four sons to wit, William Morris, Moses Morris Matthew Morris and Jacob Morris to them and then????and asigne forever Lastly I appoint and make and ordain Abraham Harman executor of this my last will and Testament utterly denying revoking de?anu?ing and makig void all other former wills or Wills by me made in Witnes whereof I the said William Morrris have hereunto let my hand and seal this twenty fifth day of August day of August one Thousand eight hundred and six.
