BERTIE COUNTY ESTATE-Perry, Abraham to Robinson, Arland -1788 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Zane Perry This deed was made by the executors of Abraham Perry's Estate, subsequent to his death preceeding May 1788. It is believed that Arland Perry Robinson (born ca. 1784 and later known as Arnold R. Perry) was the illegitimate son of Abraham Perry by Mary Robinson. Abraham Perry had previously deeded this land to Arlan Perry Robinson in May 1787, but the land was deeded again under the direction of Abraham Perry's estate. ___________________________________________________________ Stone to Robinson pg. 224 To all Christian People to whom these Presents shall come. Greeting. Know ye that Wee, Solomon Stone, Priscilla Stone, William Stone, and Anne Perry, all of Bertie County and State of North Carolina, for and in Consideration of the Sum of one hundred and fifty Pounds Current money of this State to his in hand paid before the Ensealing and Delivery thereof by Arland Perry Robinson of the County and State aforesaid, Have given, granted, Bargained, sold, and by these presents do give, grant, bargain, Sell, alien, Convey, and Confirm unto him the said Arlan Perry Robinson his heirs and assigns forever, one Certain Tract or Parcel of Land containing by Estimation Three Hundred and Ninety Acres, more or Less, situate Lying and Being in Bertie aforesaid and boundeth as followeth; Beginning at a pine formerly James Graves' corner Tree, and from thence along that line to Gum Branch and thence down Gum Branch to Pollock's former line, thence along that line to Campbell's Line, a Corner tree, Thence along Ryan's former line to the Eastmost Swamp, thence down the said Swamp to the first Station. To Have and to hold the said Three Hundred and Ninety Acres of Land with Improvements and all appertenances , Priviledges, and commodities to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to Him the said Arlan Perry Robinson, his heirs and assigns forever, and further we the said Solomon Stone, Priscilla Stone, William Stone, and Anne Perry do bind ourselves, our heirs, Executors, administrators, and assigns to Warrant and Defend the said land and Improvements unto him the said Arlan Perry Robinson his heirs and assigns forever against the Lawfull Claims or Demands of any Person or Persons whatsoever free and Clear from all Incumbrances of what kind or Nature soever, Quit rents only excepted.
