Item It is my will and desire that all my estate be kept together after my death until all my just debts are paid; item I give and bequeath unto son William Pugh all my part of the (Great Swamp) from said Johnston’s line down to (M??? ???) line, I also give a tract of land whereon my water grist mill stands known by the name of the (Beaver Dam) together with said mill and all the ( ) thereunto belonging to the said tract of land on the said mill stands containing 219 acres including the ( ), I also give a tract of land beginning on the Beaver Dam Land in a branch below (Wat Gi?? Spring) then running up the middle of said branch to the back line then up that line to (John ??) line then along that line to the Beaver Dam line then down that line to the first station, being the (??? ) tract and part of a second tract that I leased of the (Tuscacora Indians), I also give unto my son, William Pugh two other tracts of land, the one whereon (?old London) lines & the other where Isaih A??) formerly lived all which tracts of land I give during the term of the lease; item I give and bequeath unto my grandson, Francis Pugh all that tract whereon his father Francis Pugh formerly lived it being one half of the lower (Sarah Watkins) tract containing 226 acres of land, I also give unto my said grandson one tract of land known by the name of the Island Tract containing 1000 acres all of which I give to my said grandson Francis Pugh except the Beach Ridge from where his father’s old hog pen was down to the back line ( ); item I give and bequeath that tract of land where (Thomas White - mill) formerly lived it being part of the lower (Sarah Watkin) tract containing 226 acres to my grandson Joseph Pugh, I also give unto my grandson Joseph Pugh all that part which is excepted of the Island tract which I have given to Francis, his brother, I also give to my grandson Joseph Pugh one half the tract of land whereon (Frederick Laciter) formerly lived and the tract of land whereon his mother now lives also the tract of land whereon (Liscomb) & (Sholas) formerly lived but the last mentioned tract is to remain in the possession of his mother during her natural life and she is to have the privilege of cutting firewood for the use of her house and timber for fencing and raising stock, I also give my grandson Joseph Pugh one other tract known as the Little Bare containing 900 acres all of which I give during the term of lease; item I give and bequeath to my grandson William Pugh that tract where Cullen Cook now lives containing 450 acres during the term of lease; item I give unto my grandson John H. Pugh the plantation whereon I now live known by the name (Quissokey Tract) containing 615 acres, also I give to my said grandson John Pugh all the swamp land called the Sarah Watkins (tract) within my pasture fence down to the Indian ( ) from ( Johnston’s) land except that part which is now within the fence of my son William Pugh, I also give to my grandson John H. Pugh my land that lies between my pasture and the main road from the Quisockey line down the road to a marked post oak on the line also the land I bought of (David Canady) containing 250 acres, all which tracts I give to my grandson John H. Pugh during the term of lease; I give to my son William Pugh my land called the River Parcel containing 640 acres, also one other tract known by the name of the Great Bare Garden containing 1000 acres, all which I give during the term of lease; item I give to Easter Pugh, widow of Thomas Pugh, dec’d the land and plantation whereon she now lives with the privilege of cutting fire wood and timber for rails to fence the plantation and raising stock on the land called the ( ) (pattent) and after her death the land and plantation to be equally divided among her children; item I give and bequeath to my grandson Whitmell Pugh one lot of land known by the name of the Middle Field containing 200 acres which I give to him during the term of the lease; Item I give and bequeath to my grandson James Pugh one lot of land known by the name of the (Basket Field) lot containing 181 acres which land I give to my said James Pugh during the term of the lease; item I give and bequeath to my grandson j(Augustin Pugh) one lot of land known by the name of the (Town Swamp Lot) containing 200 acres during the term of the lease; item I give and bequeath unto my grandson Joseph H. Pugh one lot of land known by the name the (?? Randals ??? Mollys & Jacksons) containing 200 acres during the term of the lease; item that part of the (Sarah Watkins) Swamp that I have excepted & lyes on the side of my son William Pugh ( ) now give to him the said William during the term of the least; item I give and bequeath unto Theophilus Pugh dec’d daughter Elizabeth Pugh two Negro girls one by the name of Barbary and the other Nicey; Item I give and bequeath unto Martha Cloman one Negro boy by the name of London; item I give and bequeath all the remainder of my estate real and personal to be divided into three equal parts, one third part to my son, William Pugh, one third part to my son Francis Pugh and one third part to my son Thomas Pugh dec’d children; item Lastly I nominate and appoint my son, William Pugh, Samuel W.
