Second - I give and devise to Joseph F. Taylor, one bed and bedstead - one Bofet - one Desk and set of glassware. Third - to Luallie Taylor, one Bed, one Table, one wheel, one Loom and gear belonging to same. fourth, to Maggie E. Taylor one Bed, one Table, one trunk. fifth, To Annie J. Taylor, one Bed, one Dish one Pitcher. sixth, My Bed clothing and other articles of personal property to be equally divided among the above mentioned persons. Seventh, I hereby constitute and appoint Joseph F. Talor, my lawful Executor to all intents and purposes, to execute this my last will and testament according to the true intent and meaning of the same and every part and clause thereof hereby revoking and declaring utterly void all other wills and testaments by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I the Said Celia Rice do hereby set my hand and Seal, this 12th day of May 1899. her Celia X Rice (Seal) mark Signed, Sealed, published and declared by the Said Celia Rice to be her last will and testament in the presence of us, who at her request and in her presence do subscribe our names as witness thereto witness J. E Myers North Carolina Bertie County The foregoing paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Celia Rice, deceased, is this day exhibited before me, the undersigned Clerk of the Superior Court for said County, and the due execution thereof is proved by the oath and examination of J H. Bowen and F. E. Myers, the subscribing witnesses thereto, who testify that the said Celia Rice signed the said paper writing in their presence and declared the same to be her last will and testament and that they did, at the request of said testator and in her presence, write their names at the end of said will as attesting witnesses thereto and that at the time when said will was so executed the said Celia Rice was of sound mind and memory of full age to execute a will and was not under any restraint to their knowledge, information or belief. It is therefore considered and adjudged that said paper writing is and contains the last will and testament of Celia Rice, deceased; and that as such it be admitted to probate and recorded in the book of Wills in the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court for said County and there filed. Lyon Clerk Superior Court Jos. F. Taylor, being duly sworn, doth say: That Celia Rice, late of said County, is dead, having first made and published her last Will and Testament, which has been admitted to probate, and that he is the executor named therein. Further, that the property of the said Celia Rice consisting of Household and Kitchen Furniture is worth about $25 far as can be ascertained at the date of this application, and that Jos. F. Tayloe, Luallie Taylor & Annie J. Taylor, Maggie Taylor are the parties entitled under said will to the said property. Sworn to and subscribed before me the 17th day of March, 1900 W. L. Lyon Clerk Superior Court Joseph J. F. Tayloe State of North Carolina Bertie County In the matter of the Last Will of Celia Rice, Deceased Before W. L. Lyon Clerk Superior Court Upon considering the application of Jos. F. Taylor for Letters Testamentary upon the estate of Celia Rice, deceased, and it appearing therefrom that said Jos. F. Tayloe is the executor mentioned and appointed in the last will and Testament of said Celia Rice, deceased, which last Will and Testament has been admitted to probate, it is Ordered and adjudged that the said Jos. F. Taylor be allowed to qualify as executor upon the estate of Celia Rice, deceased, as provided by law, and enter upon the discharge of the duties imposed by said trust; and said Jos. F. Taylor this day comes into open Court and qualifies as such executor by taking the oath prescribed by law, and thereupon Letters Testamentary issued. this 17 day of March, 1900. W. L.
