McCollum Will of Joseph W. Williford I Joseph W. Williford of the County of Bertie and State of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence do declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say. That my executors hereinafter named shall provide for my body a decent burial and pay all my funeral expenses with my just debts out of the moneys that may come into their hands as a part or parcel of my estate. Item: I give unto Mrs Mary Williford during her life and then to R. B. Willifords children the tract of land on which she now lives beginning at the branch on J. W. Smithıs line and running up the branch to the pasture fence to the road along said fence then along the road to Cobbs line. Item: I give to R. H. Williford and Jennie A. Williford the Balance of my homestead of land and a tract of land on the creek beginning at the South and running up the road to the ditch nearest to the gate then along the ditch to the woods and same course to D. W. Capeharts line. I also give them my stock of hogs and cattle and my household and kitchen furniture not otherwise disposed of. The said R. H. Williford to pay to Robt. Webb and wife Clara the sum of one hundred dollars in lieu of their shares of the land. Item: I give to Thomas J. Williford the balance of my land lying on the creek and one Bowl and furniture for same he is to pay Joseph W. Williford and William O. Williford each the sum of one hundred dollars in lieu of their shares of the land. Item: I give to Joseph W. Williford one Bowl and furniture for same (?). Item: I give to William O. Williford one young cattle and my grist. Item: I give to R. B. Willifords daughter Pattie Nichols one young cattle. Item: I give to Jennie A. Williford her mothers Bureau. Item: The Residue of my estate I give to Thomas J. Williford, R. H. Williford and Jennie A. Williford to be equally divided between them. And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my sons R. H. Williford and Thomas J. Williford my lawful executors to all intents and purposed to execute this my last will and testament according to the true intent and meaning of the same and every part and clause thereof, hereby revoking and declaring utterly void all other wills and testaments by me heretofore made. In witness whereof, I the said Joseph W. Williford do hereto set my hand and seal this the 4th day of January 1892. J. Williford Signed, sealed, published and declared by said Joseph W.
