McCollum Richard Williford Will In the name of God Amen I Richard Williford of the State of North Carolina in the County of Bertie being in Perfect health and memory Thanks be given to God. Therefore calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men Once to die, do make and ordain this to be my Last will and Testament, that is to say Principally and first of all I give and Recommend my Soul to God that gave it and my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Executors, Nothing doubting but at the general Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty Power of God, and as touching Such worldly Estate as herewwith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I give and Dispose it in the following Manner and form--------------------------------------- First I give unto my son Abner Wiliford one Hundred Pounds Specie to be raised and levied out of my Estate to him his heirs and assigns forever. Secondly - I give unto my grand Children which were the children of my Daughter Mary Boyce decd. fifty pounds Equally to be divided amongst her sons and Daughters to wit, Temperance Jenkins Lenea Jenkins, Cader Jenkins Wiliford Jinkins Gustian (?) Jenkins Abner Jenkins Winifred Boyce and Watson Boyce to them their heirs and assigns for Ever---------------------------- Thirdly, I give unto my daughter Winefred Baker fifty Pounds Specie to be Raised and levied out of my Estate to her her heirs and assigns for ever Fourthly, I give unto my son John Wiliford one Negro woman named Clare (?) one negro Girl named Linis (?) one Negro Girl named Hannah one Negro boy named Jacob one Negro boy named George and one negro boy named Arthur also I give unto my said son John all the remainder part of my estate not heretofore mentioned to him his heirs and assigns for ever----------- Fifthly and lastly I appoint make and ordain my son John Wiliford to be my Executor of this My last will and Testament utterly revoking and disanuling all other former Will or Wills by me made In Witness whereof I the said Richard Wiliford have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Tenth day of March one Thousand Eight hundred and one------------------- Richard Williford Signed Sealed Published Pronounced and Delivered in the presents of James Burradele (?)
