Jarrod Young's Will

In the name of God Amen.

I Jarrod Young of Bertie County and State of North Carolina being of sound &
perfect mind & memory (blessed be God) do this the twenty first day of April in
the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen make and ordain this
my last will & Testament in manner following.

First I desire that all my just debts should be paid

Second I leave my friends John Ruffin, William Pugh or either of them my Executors
to this my last will and give them full power to sell & dispose of any part of my
perishable estate as they ore either of them may think proper so far as to satisfy
my debts.

Thirdly, I give & bequeath to my beloved wife, jennet Young and her assigns
forever all the perishable part of my estate that is left after all my just
[debts] are paid.

Fourthly I lend unto my said Wife, Jennett Young, & her heirs during her life time
all my lands & tenement and after the death of my said wife, Jennett Young, I give
and bequeath all my lands unto my father, John Young and his heirs forever 

in witness my hand & seal the day and date above written.
