Contributor's Notes:  The following was transcribed from Samuel Chancy & 
Julian Ann Jones Family Bible, by Robert Chancey, October 1999. The bible is 
now in the possession of Mrs. Muriel Chauncey, Clarkton, Bladen County, North 
Carolina.  (Please do not contact her.  She is quite elderly and unable to 
provide additional help).
The Chancy family changed the spelling of the surname from Chancy to Chauncey 
sometime after 1900.

				BIRTHS

Samuel Chancy son of John Chancy and Sarah his wife was married the 24th day 
of May in the year of our Lord 1821

Samuel Chancy son of John Chancy and Sarah his wife was born Jan the 27 th day 
of 1798

Julian Chancy wife of the above S. Chancy was born March 13 day 1801

Maryann Chancy was born the 27th day of March in the year of our Lord 1822

Eliza Elizabeth Chancy was born the 8th day of December in the year of our 
Lord 1823

Sarah Jane Chancy was born the 27th day Jan 1826

Lucy Mariah Chancy was born November 9th 1827

Nancy Dandrige Chancy was born April 17 1830

William Henry Chancy was born February 28 1832

John James Chancy was born March 5th 1834

Samuel Jackson Chancy was born March 15 1836

Julian Rebeca Chancy was born March 27 1838

Frances Caroline Chancy was born May 8 1840

Stephen Loid Chancy was born October 13 1841



			DEATHS

Lucy Maria Chancy died April 6th 1847

Samuel Chancy died February 17 1862

Julia R Sessions died May 28th 1862,  24 years, 2 months 4 days

Mary Ann Chancy died March 7 1863

Frances Ann Chauncey wife of Stephen Loyd Chauncey & sons Stephen Loyd Jr. and 
Samuel Bogue Chauncey died January 2 1902
