Browder Bladen, NC 1770 Deed Book 23, No. 33, pages 44, 45 This indenture made this thirteenth day of March Anno Dom. 1770 between Dennis Lennon of the Province of N.C. and county of Bladen Innkeeper and Experience his wife of the one part and Thomas Browder, Planter of the county and province aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Dennis Lennon and Experience his wife for and in consideration of the sum of thirty three pounds proc. money to them in hand paid before the ensealing and delivery of these present by the said Thomas Browder the receipt whereof they hereby acknowledge and themselves therewith fully satisfied contented and paid have given, granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth give, grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff convey and confirm unto the said Thomas Browder his heirs and assigns forever all their right, title, interest property or estate in a certain tract or parcel of land, situate lying and being in Bladen Co. province aforesaid on the South West side of the White Oak branch of Waggamaw swamp beginning at a Black Oak at Matthew Rowan, Esqr* upper corner thence Wt* 342 poles to a Pine thence Wt* 200 poles to a Poplar at the branch leading into the aforesaid branch then down by the same and branch aforesaid and by the swamp thereof to the place of beginning, containing 400 acres together with all their right, title, interest, property or claim of, in, or to the houses, buildings, woods, waters, improvements, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining or therewith used occupied or enjoyed or accepted, reputed, taken, known as part, parcel, or member thereof and also all the estate, right, title, interest, use, trust, property, reversion, claim and demand whatsoever of them the said Dennis Lennon and Experience his wife, their heirs Exers* Admrs* or assigns of, in, and to the said bargained premises and every part and parcel thereof, to have and to hold the said tract of land hereby granted and sold or mentioned or intended to be hereby granted and sold, and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances therein unto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said Thomas Browder his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Dennis Lennon and Experience his wife for themselves and their heirs doth covenant and agree to and with the said Thomas Browder, his heirs and assigns that they the said Dennis Lennon and Experience his wife and their heirs shall and will warrant and forever defend the above bargained land with the appurtenances, and every part, parcel and member thereof unto him the said Thomas Browder, his heirs and assigns forever.
