All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Al Munden mundenal@cox.net February 20, 2006, 11:33 am property in Robeson Co, NC Written: June 22, 1886 } This indenture made and Michael Bullock & wife et al } entered into on this 22d day of June To } 1886 by and between Michael Henry Colon Britt } Bullock and wife Caroline Bullock } Hector Stone and wife } Effie Ann Stone } land of the late Robert _________________________ } Byrd of the County of Robeson and the State of North Carolina of the first part and Henry Colon Britt of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Eighthundred Dollars to them in hand paid by the said Henry Colon Britt at and before the signing sealing delivery hereof the receipt and payment whereof thence fully acknowledge have given granted bargained sold and conveyed and do hereby give grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Henry Colon Britt his heirs and assign forever the following lands in the County and State aforesaid viz : First tract on the East side of Hog Swamp. Beginning at a small hickory on the Simon Cox’s upper line on the North side of the Juniper Bay and runs North 16 west 28 chains and 50 links due North 74 East 24 chains to a stake & 3 small pines on said Cox’s line- thence South 25 East 49 chains- thence a direct line to the beginning – Containing One Hundred acres as will fully appear by patent to William Thompson bearing date 26th November 1789. Also another tract Beginning at a large pine near or joining the aforesaid Cox’s line and runs South 45 East 25 chains to a stake by several small pines – thence North 45 West 25 chains – thence a direct line to the beginning Containing Eightyeight acres as will more fully appear by patent granted to Frederick Rattey bearing date 20 December 1791. Also another tract lying on both sides of Cox’s Branch Beginning at a pine on the East edge of the Bay West of said branch a little below his own corner and runs North 45 West 15 chains thence South 45 West 8 chains thence a direct line to the beginning Containing twelve acres as will more fully appear by patent granted to the said Frederick Rattey bearing date Sept 18 – 1795. the said lands being the Once first tracts conveyed by Eliza Brit to said Robert Byrd by deed dated June 4th 1860 and duly recorded in Registers Office for the County of Robeson in Book “EE” page 243 to have and to hold said lands all the right due and estate of the parties of the first therein to the said Henry Colon Britt his heirs and assigns forever In testimony whereof the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and date first above written.
