STATE of NORTH-CAROLINA
Bladen County
          To the Surveyor of the said County.
You are hereby required to survey, lay out, and admeasure, or cause to be 
surveyed, laid out, and admeasured for Robert Beasley one hundred Acres of Land 
in the County aforesaid, agreeable to his Entry, a Copy of which is hereunto 
annexed; and such Survey, so to be made, do you return to the Secretary's 
Office, according to Law, for which this shall be your Warrant. Given under my 
Hand this Thirtyeth Day of October Anno Domini One Thousand Seven Hundred and 
Seventy eight.

                 lives beginning below the Improvements & runing [sic] up for

      This Platt represents 100 Acres of Land in Bladen County lying on the 
Horse Shoe. Begin.g on the North side of Slades Swamp at a Red Oak and then D E: 
127 Poles to a Pine, thence D S: 127 Poles to Stake by Water Oak in the Edge of 
Slades Swamp thence D W thro' the S. Swamp 127 Poles to Stake thence D N: 127 
Poles to the begining Corner.
Surveyed for Robert Beasley Dec. 5th, 1778

Additional Comments:
Transcribed from microfiche printout retrieved from NC State Archives. Robert 
Beasley's land was split by the Bladen/Columbus county line when the latter was 
formed in 1808.
