D. 1873 between Ollin TATOM of the one part and David Johnson of the other part all of the state of North Carolina. TATOM of the County of Bladen and JOHNSON of the County of Cumberland. Witnesseth: that for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred Dollars in hand paid at or before the signing, sealing or delivery of these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said Ollin TATOM all my interest, right, title and claim in a certain tract or parcel of land situated lying and being in the County of Bladen and state of North Carolina on the South side of Great Turnbull Beginning at a pine about 30 chs West of the Spring Branch and runs South 22 chs and 37 lks, thence 113 chs and 13 lks, thence No. 56 chs and 57 lks, thence E. 113 chs and 13 lks, thence a direct line to the Beginning. Granted to Elias GARDNER for 640 acres December the 8th 1802. And the said David JOHNSON doth here by virtue of these presents, for myself, my heirs and assigns forever and from all other claim or claims what so ever warrant & defend the above mentioned land and premises including all and every priviledge thereunto belonging or appertaining. To Have to Hold to the said Ollin TATOM, his heirs and assigns forever. In witness where of the aforesaid David JOHNSON hath-hereinto set his hand and seal. In presence of O.J. GARDNER signed David JOHNSON State of North Carolina Bladen County G. F. MELVIN Clerk of the Superior Court do hereby certify that the execution of the annexed Deed of Conveyance was this day proven before me by the oath and examination of O. J. GARDNER the subscriving witness thereto. Therefore let the same with this certificate be registered. Witness my hand this 31st day of Dec'r 1885. G. F.
