Witnesseth that the said Wm. Hall, for and in consideration of the marriage intended shortly to (be) held and solemized between Wm. Hall and said Lyda Daniel and that a competant provision and maintenance may (be) had and made for the said Lyda Daniel and that the following Negroes to wit: Nancy, Hannah, Mariah, Ann, Charles, Isral, Mollie, Dolly, Tom, Phebe, Alick & Lucy. Now the said Lyda should be settled pursuant to the agreement made between the said Wm. Hall on his part, Gooden Bowen intrust for the said Lyda of second part and the said Lyda of the third part. He the said Wm. Hall doth covenant grant and agree to and with the said Gooden Bowen his heirs Exec's Adm's from henceforth and after the said marriage shall take effect the said twelve negroes to witt: Nancy, Hannah, Mariah, Ann, Charles, Israel, Mollie, Dolly, Tom, Phebe, Alex & Lucy together with the increase of the female Negroes it is and shall be vested in the said Gooden Bowen his heirs Exec's & Adm's To and for the several uses and trusts herein mentioned that is to the use of Lyda Daniel aforesaid for her sale and separate & maintainance of the conveyance of her children if any she shall have during coverture by no manner of mains to be subject to the debts contracts covenants or incumberances hereto made or hereafter to be made by the said William Hall and in case the said Lyda should survive the said Wm. the said Negroes and their increase are to her use and the use of her children if any she should have by the said William and to no other use or purpose whatsoever if the said Lyda should die in the lifetime of the said Wm.. leaving isue, then the said isue shall have sale benifit and property of the said Negroes but if the said Lyda should die in the lifetime of the said William then in that case she the said Lyda leaving the issue had between her & the said Wm. to have the sale property and Benifit of the aforementioned Negroes and their increas to him his heirs and assigns forever In witness the parties have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.
