State of North Carolina No. 1011 To all to whom these presents shall come
greetings Know ye that we for and in consideration of the sum of fifty
Shillings for every hundred acres hereby granted paid into our treasury by
Thomas Hardwick Gent have given and granted ["and by these presents do give
and grant unto the said Thomas Hardwick Gent" interlined] forever a tract of
land containing one hundred acres lying and being in our County of Bladen on
the West side of the White Marsh Beginning at a White Oak & running North
forty seven degrees West twenty two chains to a white oak and a water Oak
then South forty five Degrees west twenty seven chains to a pine John
Baldwins corner then No Eighty one degrees wt fifteen chains to a Stake and
three pines then South nine Degrees and fourteen chains to a pine in Mr
Necless  line then East thirty chains to a Stake then No forty nine Degrees
East thirty chains to the beginning
                   Pr patent dated Nov the 7th 1784
