BLADEN COUNTY, NC - DEEDS - James Johnston to Thomas Little ----¤¤¤---- JAMES JOHNSTON DEED TO THOMAS LITTLE Bladen County, NC 1774 Deed Book 23, No. 331, Pages 434, 435 This indenture made Aug 2nd A.D. 1774 between James Johnston of Bladen Co. Province of North Carolina of the one part and Thos. Little of the Co. and Province aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that The said James Johnston for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty five pounds lawful current money of the province aforesaid to him in hand paid by the said Thomas Little at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt of thereof is hereby acknowledged and the aforesaid Jas. Johnston doth give grant bargain sell alien enfeoff remiss release convey and confirm unto the aforesaid Thos. Little his heirs Exrs* Admrs* and assigns forever a certain tract, survey or parcel of land containing 100 acres be it more or less and the aforesaid James Johnston purchased the said land from Jacob Pitman in Bladen Co. at a pine Oxendine's corner thence along said line N.30 E. 153 poles to a pine thence N. 55 W. 120 poles to a pine thence S.45 W 173 poles to a Stake on the Creek side thence the courses of the creek to the beginning being the lower part of a tract of 200 acres granted to Hector Mc*Neill May 6th 1760 and from him conveyed to the Jacob Pitman the said deed is dated to James Johnston July 14 1772 To have and to hold all the aforesaid bargained land premises and all and singular together with all houses outhouses gardens buildings orchards woods underwoods timber and timer trees waters and water courses cleared grounds and all other rights privileges profits and advantages as to the said land belonging or in any wise appertaining to the said Thomas Little his heirs or assigns forever in warrant and defend the said land from all others rights whatsoever mortgages entails whatever And the said Thos. Little his heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times hereafter have hold use occupy possess and enjoy the above land premises together in his own rightful power and authority to give or dispose or the same And I the said James Johnston for myself my heirs Exors* Admrs* and assigns the said Thos.
