W. KINLAW TO JOHN T. MARTIN STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA BLADEN COUNTY. THIS deed made this 8th day of Jan. 1892, by A. W. Kinlaw of Bladen County and State of North Carolina, of the first part, to John T. Martin of Bladen County and State of North Carolina of the second part: WITNESSETH, That said A. W. Kinlaw, in consideration of twenty five ($25.00) dollars, to him paid by John T. Martin, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has bargained and sold, and by these presents do bargain, sell and convey to said John T. Martin, and his heirs and assigns, a certain tract or parcel of land in White Oak Township, Bladen County, State of North Carolina, adjoining the lands of A. W. Kinlaw, D. S. Tatum, and others, bounded as follows, viz: On the East side of Harrison's Creek above the main road, Beginning at a stake of the east edge of the run of Harrison's Creek, John T. Martin's lower corner, and runs as his line So. 89 deg. east 3 chains and 15 links to his corner at the edge of the main road, and runs as the road So. 5 deg. West 8 1/2 chs. to J. A. Kinlaw's line, then as his line reversed (?) So. 74 deg. West 2 chs to his corner at the creek at the lower end of the bridge, then up the creek as it meanders to the beginning, containing one acre, and the said Tohn T. Martin agrees with the said A. W. Kinlaw, that if he the said John T. Martin shall wish to dispose of said land, that he will give the said A. W. Kinlaw or his heirs the refusal of it before he sells to any other person. To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land, and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said John T. Martin, his heirs and assigns, to their only use and behoof forever. And the said A. W. Kinlaw covenants to and with the said John T. Martin, his heirs and assigns, that he is seized of said premises in fee, and has right to convey the same in fee simple, that the same are free from all incumbrances, and that he will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof the said A. W. Kinlaw has hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written. A. W. Kinlaw (seal) North Carolina, Bladen County I, E. F.
