W. KINLAW AND OTHERS TO WILLIAM H. SIMMONS NORTH CAROLINA BLADEN COUNTY. THIS deed made this the 12th day of June, 1897, between Emaline Cain, A. W. Kinlaw and Alice L., John B. Smith & wife Louella C., Hector McRay & wife Hebe E. V., B. F. Kinlaw and wife Cora N., Mitchell B. Ray and wife Mamie G., and Charles I. J. Cain, parties of the first part, and William H. Simmons of the second part, of the County of Bladen and State of North Carolina, Witnesseth: that the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of seventy five dollars, to them paid by the said Wm. H. Simmons, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, at the signing, sealing, and the delivery of these presents, hath given, granted, bargained, and sold, and by these presents do bargain and sell to the said Wm. H. Simmons a certain tract of land, it being a part of three different tracts-the first tract was granted to Jas. Edge October 17,1835, and deeded by him to D. F. Cain, then a part of said survey was deeded by said D. F. Cain to John M. Reeves, the second tract, a 40 acre survey granted to Wm. Edge and by him deeded to D. F. Cain-the third tract was granted to D. F. Cain-beginning at a stake and runs No. 29 W. 25 ch., then W. 1 chn, then So. 35 chns, then direct to the beginning, containing 20 acres. The whole containing almost one hundred acres, more or less. And the said parties of the first part, by virtue of these presents, for themselves, their heirs, assigns, administrators, or executors, warrant and defend the above mentioned land and premises, including all the privileges thereunto belonging to the said W.
