W. KINLAW AND WIFE TO T. J. RAYFIELD AND WIFE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINABLADEN COUNTY. THIS DEED Made this 6th day of July, 1904 by A. W. Kinlaw and A. L. Kinlaw of Bladen County and said State North Carolina of the first part, to T. J. Rayfield & Minnie F. Rayfield of Granville County and State of North Carolina of the second part, WITNESSETH: That the said A. W. Kinlaw and A. L. Kinlaw, in consideration of twenty- five ($25.00) dollars, to them paid by T. J. Rayfield and wife Minnie, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold, and by these presents do bargain, sell and convey to said T. J. Rayfield, wife Minnie, and his heirs and assigns, a certain tract or parcel of land in White Oak Township, Bladen County, State of North Carolina, adjoining the lands of J. S. Williamson and others, bounded as follows, viz: Beginning at a stake in the east side of the Elizabethtown road and runs S. with said road 22 1/2 yds. to J. S. Williamson's line, thence with his line E. 42 yards to A. W. Kinlaw's line, thence North with Kinlaw line 22 1/2 yds. to a stake, thence W 42 yards to the beginning, containing 1/4 acre more or less. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the aforesaid tract or parcel of land, and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said T. J. Rayfield and wife Minnie, their heirs and assigns, to their only use and behoof forever. And the said A. W. Kinlaw covenant to and with the said T. J. Rayfield and wife Minnie, their heirs and assigns, that they are seized of said premises in fee, and have a right to convey the same in fee simple; that the same are free from all incumbrances, and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the said A. Bullard, a Justice of Peace in and for said County and State, do hereby certify that A. W. Kinlaw and A. L. Kinlaw, his wife, personally appeared before me this day and acknowledged the due execution of the foregoing Deed of Conveyance; and the said A. L. Kinlaw, being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said husband, or any other person, and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto.
