Know ye that we do hereby give and Grant unto John MacKnight a Tract of Land 
containing three hundred and twenty acres lying on Capefear River in Bath 
county between Mount Pleasant and the Indian Wells other Tracts of the said 
John MacKnights. Beginning at a poplar on the S.W. side of the N. W. Branch of 
Capefear river runing thence So 35 W 320 poles along the line of Mount 
Pleasant Tract down the lines of Indian Well Tract No. 35 Et 320 to a corner 
pine by the river, so along the river to the first Station To Have & To Hold
