Secretary of State Land Grant Record Book(1693-1960)

Know Ye that we do hereby give and Grant unto Edward Moseley a tract of Land 
containing two hundred acres lying and being in Bath County in Hanover Precint 
and on the East side of Capefear river Beginning at the mouth of Dennis Moores 
creek, runing thence East 427 poles to a pine, thence North 200 poles, thence 
West 85 poles, thence S45 W 100 poles, thence No 45 Wt to the land of John 
Porter, then down his line West to a water oak on the river by the edge of 
said Porters cleared land, thence down the river to the Mouth of Dennis Moores 
creek the first Station. To Have and To Hold Given this 27th day of April 
1730.
