BLADEN COUNTY, NC - DEEDS - John Rowland To Heliner Manin, 19 Mar 1785 ----¤¤¤---- JOHN ROWLAND DEED TO HELINER MANIN Bladen County, NC 1785 Deed Book 1, No 70, pages 56, 57 This Indenture made the Nineteenth day of March one thousand seven hundred and Eighty five between John Rowland of Bladen County and State of North Carolina of the one part and Heliner Manin of the county and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said John Rowland for and in consideration of the sum of thirty five pound Specie to him in hand paid by the said Haliner Manin the receipt whereof the said John Rowland doth acknowledge and himself to be fully satisfied doth fully discharge the said Heliner Manin his heirs and assigns forever hath granted Bargained sold alined enfeoff conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do fully and freely and absolutely give grant bargain sell alien enfeoff convey and confirm unto the said Heliner Manin a certain tract of land containing two hundred acres situated and lying in the aforesaid County of Bladen on the south side of Drowning Creek and South side of Ashpole Swamp Beginning at a white Oak in the of said Swamp just above the mouth of a small Branch between Lachmah McDougalds and the Meeting House running South Eighty pole to a Stake among two pines and a Black Jack then West two hundred and fifty four pole to a stake then No* one hundred and twenty seven pole to a Stake then direct to the beginning the said land was taken up by the said John Rowland by patent bearing date Seventh day of November one thousand and seventy and seventy nine and now sold to Heliner Manin to have and to hold the said land and premises with al the appurtenances into the said Heliner Manin his heirs and assigns forever together with all improvements emoluments whatsoever and that free from all incumberences bargains grants Mortgages only the ??easrs becoming due to the State only excepted and the said John Rowland for himself his heirs and assigns and against himself his heirs and against every other person or persons whatsoever unto the said Heliner Manin the lands and premises shall and will be warranted and defended by virtue of these presents in witness whereof I the said John Rowland hath hereunto set his hand and Seal nineteenth day of March Ano Domini one thousand and eighty four Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of Lydda Rowland John Rowland [signed w/signature] (Seal) Griffeth his S mark Staten Bladen Novr* Term 1785 this deed was acknowledged in open Court and ordered to be Registered John White C.
