W.H. Averitt Is Claimed by Death

	St. Pauls, Oct. 23. W.H. Averitt, 71, died at his rooming place in St. 
Pauls Sunday night at 8:30 after an illness of only a few hours.
	Funeral Services will be held from McGougan's Funeral Home here 
Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. W. Earl Robinson, pastor of the First Baptist 
Church in charge. Interment will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery near here.
	Surviving are: one son, P.R. Averitt of Fayetteville; two daughters, 
Mrs. Neill McArthur of Lumber Bridge and Miss Edna Earle Averitt of 
Fayetteville; one sister Miss Lizzie Averitt of Tar Heel.
	Mr. Averitt moved to Robeson many years ago from Bladen County.
