Colvin Interred, Military Honors The remains of the late Sgt. Devane Colvin, who was killed in action in France on August 17, 1944, arrived in Burgaw, Saturday morning. Funeral services were conducted from the Haw Bluff Baptist church Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock by the Rev. J. B. Dosier of Kelly. Full military honors were accorded by the Burgaw American Legion Post. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Florence Colvin of Kelly; three sisters, Mary of the home, Mrs. J. H. Rainey of Wilmington and Mrs. J. F. Tatum of Elizabethtown; and two brothers, Yates and Hugh, both of the home.
