He appeared to be carried off by an apoplexy or epilepsy in a very short time after he reached my house. He had with him one grey stone horse, one bay gelding and a sorrel mare. On him were found several papers, twenty-eight dollars in silver, and one half joe. His papers, horses, money and other effects are in my hands and will be delivered to any person or persons shewing a legal right to claim them and reinbursing my expenditures. Enquire for the subscriber living on the main post road, about four miles north of the town of Dumfries, in the state of Virginia. Wm.
