   KILLED -- We regret to learn that MR. DUNCAN KING, SENIOR, of Bladen 
County, was killed yesterday by being thrown from is buggy, in which he was 
driving from his residence in the lower part of said Couonty to a depot on the 
Wilmington-Manchester Railroad. His son, who was with him when the horse ran 
way, escaped by jumping from the vehicle. MR. KING remained and the buggy, 
striking against a tree, was thrown out with such violence as to cause his 
death by 9 o'clock in the evening. MR. KING was 61 years and one month old.
