He entered his 124th year in June last. He volunteered to serve his country in the Continental Army of the Revolution, and though then exempt by reason of his being over age, he served a full term in that war, and has received a Pension for many years past. He has lived to follow all his children to the grave, except one, an aged daughter. His grand children are aged people, and he has left great grandchildren upwards of 40 years of age, and great great grand children about 12 years of age. He retained his faculties till his death, except his sight, which he lost a few years ago. He was able to walk until a few days before his death, when attacked by fever, of which he died.
